전라남도 해남군 삼산면 두륜산에 있는 조계종 사찰로 백제 무령왕14년(514년) 아도화상이 창건하였다. 임진왜란때 승군의 총본영으로 승군을 이끌었던 서선대사의 가사가 남아 있다.
Located on Duryunsan Mountain in Samsan-myeon, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, this temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism was founded in the 14th year of King Muryeong of Baekje (514) by the monk Ado. During the Imjin War (Japanese invasions of Korea, 1592–1598), it served as the headquarters of the Buddhist monk soldiers, and the robe of Seoseon Daesa, who led the monk army, still remains.

대흥사는 기차로 갈수 없다. 해남터미널까지 버스로 이동하여 버스나 택시로 30분안에 이동할 수 있다.

There is no train service to Daeheungsa. You can take an intercity or express bus to Haenam Bus Terminal, and from there, Daeheungsa is about 30 minutes away by local bus or taxi.
