충청북도 보은군 속리산면 속리산국립공원에 있는 조계종 불교사찰로 신라 진흥왕14년 (553년) 의신조사가 창건하였다. 현재 경내에 있는 5층목탑 팔상전은 국가문화재 국보로 지정되어 있으며 국내유일의 5층목탑이다.
Located in Songnisan National Park, within Songnisan-myeon, Boeun-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, this Buddhist temple of the Jogye Order was founded in the 14th year of King Jinheung of Silla (553) by the monk Uisin. Within the temple grounds stands the Palsangjeon Hall, a five-story wooden pagoda designated as a National Treasure of Korea and the only remaining structure of its kind in the country.

법주사는 기차로 이동하기 어렵다. 보은버스터미널에서 버스나 택시를 이용하여 1시간 안에 갈수 있고 서울에서 이동하는 경우 속리산 국립공원내에 있는 소리산터미널까지 직행으로 운영하는 버스를 이용할 수 있다.

Traveling by train is not convenient. From Boeun Bus Terminal, you can reach Beopjusa Temple by bus or taxi in less than one hour. If you are coming from Seoul, there are direct buses available to the Sorisan Terminal, located within Songnisan National Park, near the temple.
